I want to know if June is a good time to go and if it is worth going from Texas.

While June is a little bit more crowded than May or late September, it is still a good time to go. By June, the Going-to-the-Sun road should be open all the way through the park and the waterfalls will be in full-flow from snow-melt. In addition, all of the concession services (i.e. shuttles, tour-buses, boat tours, etc.) should be running.

Is it worth going from Texas? That depends on what you are looking for. It is dramatically different from Texas with huge, sharp mountain peaks, sparkling glaciers, icy blue lakes and thundering waterfalls. If none of those sound interesting, you should probably skip Glacier NP.

I worked at Glacier for a summer while in college. It is definitely worth the trip! Please read some of my other responses regarding Glacier.
