The bluebonnets were coming out along Hwy 290 between Austin and Houston. Many people stopped along roadside around Brenham, TX, taking pictures.

Near Fredericksburg, TX, in the hill country, there is a wildflower farm called Wildseed Farms.

On the way into Bush Intercontinental Airport; on State Hwy 99 just north of 90 out of Sugar Land. Also, on 290 on the way to Brenham.

It depends on what part of the state you are in. Texas is a BIG state. Starting at the Mexico border, flowers should start blooming in mid-March and work their way up north, depending on the weather. Usually early to mid-April the blooms are at their peak in central Texas (Austin and environs.)

With the drought, they are few and far between but check out the Wild Seed Farm in Fredericksburg.
