NV is "nice" but way overpriced and geared more towards 41 year olds rather than 21 year olds. Plus, the trip to Austin is shorter and you can get nice hill country scenery in Austin if you want it. There's that cool brewery out past Oak Hill, too.



If you do pick Austin, though, stay mostly away from 6th street. The best places are not there, but Casino El Camino is GREAT if you need a burger on 6th.

Depends on what time of year and what you want to do. Napa will be pleasant year round, whereas Austin's weather can be pretty fickle. If you want to go clubbing on 6th street, you'd want nice weather. Austin's club scene is a little more of a college party atmosphere, while Napa is more leisurely and wine oriented. If you are interested in other activities besides partying, Austin has a lot of really fun outdoors activities - so again, weather is paramount. If you decide to go to Napa, definitely do one of the tours or the wine train!
